Michael Monastyrskyj

Michael Monastyrskyj is a life-long resident of the Bloor-Lansdowne area. Growing up he used to skate and play hockey at Campbell Park. He attended school at St. Josaphat's on Franklin and continues to go to St. Josaphat's church on the same street. Michael is active in two local community groups: DIG IN and BIG on Bloor. Michael works as a researcher for CELOS, a not-for-profit group interested in parks and other public spaces. His work for CELOS brings him back to Campbell Park. Beate Bowron is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners with close to 30 years of experience in governance, municipal management, urban planning, economic development, public participation and conflict resolution. She teaches seminars, workshops and university courses in urban planning and conflict resolution and has extensive experience in negotiation and mediation. A past Chair of Conflict Resolution Canada and former Community Planning Director for the City of Toronto’s South District (including the Downtown and the Waterfront), Ms Bowron has worked internationally in China, South Africa, Guyana, Ukraine and The Philippines.
